The Covenant Ministries Bible Training Centre was launched in Kakamega in
January 2012 with 15 students (pastors) and has steadily grown since.<\/p>\n

Pastor Musa Omunyokho heads up the Centre, assisted by Pastor John Omondi.<\/p>\n

Both pastors Musa and John are involved in teaching and training, as well as recruiting pastors, church and community leaders.<\/p>\n

Healed, whole and restored.<\/strong><\/big>
For some years I kept having chest pains and constantly had to go to the doctors who
told me I had tuberculosis. In fact it became so bad that I was not only at the doctors
every month but even hospitalized once or twice.<\/p>\n

About a year ago, I attended a meeting in Maliki where Pastor Jan was ministering.
Although the meeting had started, I continued to be distracted by my phone, going
out to answer every few minutes, until eventually pastor Jan told me to switch off my
phone, saying that God won’t call you while his word is being ministered, but that the
devil certainly will try to disturb you.
So, I switched my phone off and listened to the message on hearing and listening to God,
and that as we do what God tells us to do, He will help us. As I was listening my body got
hot and I began to sweat all over. By the time pastor Jan finished ministering, I felt totally
normal and well, and I realised that the disease had left my body.
Now, more than a year later, my body is strong and healthy and I have not been sick ever
since that day!<\/p>\n

Thank you pastor Jan for your words, and I believe that through listening and obeying
what you said, that I was listening and obeying God … and He healed me!.<\/p>\n

Nine years ago I was introduced to Pastor Jan’s ministry at a meeting in Webuye, a ministry that has impacted and turned my ministry around. He taught us ‘to go do so God can bless you’<\/strong><\/em> so I did. Although everyone said I was crazy, I accepted God at His word and started to build a church in our village to seat 500 with the little bit that was in my pocket. God honored that and today the building is complete and filling up fast!<\/p>\n

When I heard of the training that Covenant Bible Courses we offering, I wanted to know more because my life still seemed empty after so many years of church.
Because I am a Grandmother everyone told me I was to old to learn, but I ignored them and studied anyway, and my life was totally turned around.<\/p>\n

When I graduated at the beginning of this year my husband also attended although he was not a christian, but when he saw how my life had changed, he gave his life to the Lord and has been supporting me since.<\/p>\n

Since starting to teach the Covenant Bible Courses, my life has continued to change, God is truly blessing me, and others are also seeing it. The people from the village come to me asking why I look so good and blessed,
and ask if the Government has given me a teaching jod and paying me a big salary. I just tell them the truth, I am doing what is on my heart, teaching others about God through the Courses, and I am blessed.<\/p>\n

The Covenant Disciples Bible Courses have not only been a blessing to us a pastors and leaders in the local churches, bringing unity amongst the people in the churches, but it has also brought unity and fellowship between churches and denominations. Pastors from every denomination and faith, Catholic, Assemblies of God, Evangelical, AIC Kenya, Baptist, etc… are studying together, fellowshipping together and starting to live what they have learnt amongst each other, and with the result that their congregations are doing the same.<\/p>\n

In January 2004, at the age of 9, Joseph<\/strong> (together with Wycliff on the left)
was taken in at the Liyavo Covenant Home<\/strong>, and has been cared for and
schooled under our ‘Kidsworld’<\/strong> Centers program ever since.<\/p>\n

As Joseph grew and developed, it became obvious that he not only wanted to learn, but had very definite plans for his future, and when asked what he wanted to be when he was big, the answer was ‘President of Kenya’, a plan that has not changed since.
In fact two years ago, he decided to repeat a year at school because his results were just not good enough to go to University.<\/p>\n

Now, 12 years after coming into a Kidsworld centre … Joseph takes another step towards reaching his goal, as he joins the queue to register at Kenyatta University in Nairobi where he is about to study for the degree of Bachelor of Education and Art.<\/p>\n

Impacting Lives in Mount Elgon, Kenya<\/strong><\/small><\/h1>\n

After having completed the Covenant Disciples Bible Course, Pastor Timothy went to Khalwenge in the Endebess district of Mount Elgon in Kenya,
with the specific intention of starting a Covenant Disciples Bible Training class for pastors there.<\/p>\n

In the beginning it was very difficult for pastor Timothy as the pastors were all from different denominations and church groups, and were all rather
suspicious. But after finding that the Covenant Courses are purely about God’s Word and not doctrine, they slowly started to join the Training Courses …<\/p>\n

This past Sunday, of the 42 candidates that graduated, 32 were pastors.
Now you may well ask, why on a Sunday?<\/strong>
Simply because one of the pastors who graduated is a Seventh Day Adventist who believes one should not work on the Sabbath, so all the other
pastors agreed to a graduation ceremony on Sunday!<\/p>\n

Khalwenge Pastors’ Testimonies<\/strong>
Before the Covenant Bible School started, pastors never used to walk or work together, as they felt they had nothing in common and thought that
they were in competition with each other, refusing to visit each other. But once the Bible class began, and they started to join, they slowly
forgot their differences, and even began to visit each other because their lives were being changed.
The Bible courses brought unity<\/strong> …
They were learning together what love really is and began to practically apply it. Every lesson ended with a practical part which gave them
an opportunity to put into practice what they learnt. Little by little, relationships began forming amongst them to where they have began
supporting each other, preaching in each other’s church and have also started a pastors’ fellowship through which they also look after
each other’s welfare and needs.<\/p>\n

They truly believe that the Covenant Courses or Bible school was God sent and that today the right biblical doctrine is being taught in
heir churches. The pastors are confident of what they teach and the people in the village are now growing as a result of being taught right.
They also believe that they are now able to identify a false teaching because of the foundation they have through the Covenant courses.
